          Dr. Maltby is a graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa), and still practicing as a licensed Chiropractor since June of 1977, in Blythe, California.
          Dr. Maltby is a renowned Doctor of Chiropractic and advocate.
          Beyond his successful practice, Dr. Maltby is an experienced and popular instructor.
He is also a consultant to individual chiropractic practitioners and companies for documentation and credentials protocols, case-management practices, and Chiropractic adjustive techniques.
          Dr. Maltby has served as past president and chairman of the board of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the International Chiropractors Association of California (ICAC), the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), and as the Chair of the Programs Committee for the ICA Council on Applied Chiropractic Sciences.
          Additionally, Dr. Maltby is a highly requested speaker who regularly lectures worldwide on the many advantages of Chiropractic.

Deed Harrison, D.C., FICA, FICAC(H)

Deed E. Harrison, D.C., graduated from Life-West Chiropractic College in 1996. Dr. Harrison has developed and researched original spinal rehabilitation procedures and has lectured to spine clinicians at nearly 1000 educational conferences around the world. He has authored (co-authored) approximately 262 peer-reviewed spine-related publications, 5 spine textbooks, and numerous conference proceedings. He is a highly respected chiropractic researcher and educator in the realm of conservative spine care.

Dr. Harrison is a manuscript reviewer for several top-tier, Q1, peer-reviewed Spine journals. He has developed and completed two successful Special Issues on spine rehabilitation for the Journal of Clinical Medicine as a Guest Editor. Additionally, he is an academic editorial board member of Scientific Reports and the Journal of Clinical Medicine.

Dr. Harrison is a past member of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), is a former International Chiropractors Association’s (ICA) Nevada State Assembly Representative member, and he formerly held a position on the Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada. History

James E. Musick, D.C. was born in Davenport, Iowa while his father was attending Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He grew up in Westminster, SC, a small town of approximately 2,500 people.  After high school he served as a U.S Navy reconnaissance photographer (2nd class petty officer), with
three tours of duty: one in the Mediterranean, one in Vietnam and a shakedown cruise in the Caribbean.  He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1972, summa cum laude


Education

Dr. Musick has completed his Associate in Business Administration, his Bachelor of Arts degree, and is credentialed as an Industrial Injury Evaluator, a prerequisite for becoming a California Qualified Medical Evaluator.  He is also certified in Chiropractic Spinal Trauma.  He holds three fellowships, one as a Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), a second as an Honorary Fellow of the ICA of California (ICAC) and thirdly a Fellow of the Palmer West Academy of Chiropractic.  He has done graduate work at San Jose State University through the Continuing Education Department, was accepted and presented papers in biomechanics conference at the University of Colorado and received continuing education credit from the University of California – Riverside in Biomechanics of Low-Speed Impacts.


Academics

Academically, Dr. Musick was a founder, incorporator, served as the original Secretary to the Board of Regents of Pacific States Chiropractic College (now Life West) and was part of the administration as Director of Continuing Education and instructor.  Subsequently, Dr. Musick was a founder of Northern College of Chiropractic (now Palmer West) serving as an Instructor, Director of Continuing Education and a term as President.  He served a three-year term as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and served concurrently as a Commissioner of the CCE’s Commission on Accreditation (COA).  He has served on several COA on-site accreditation teams to several chiropractic colleges, including Cleveland College (KC), Life Chiropractic College (Atlanta), Northwestern College of Chiropractic, Texas Chiropractic College, and Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. 


Affiliations

Currently, Dr. Musick lectures extensively on California Worker’s Compensation.  He has completed over 300 lectures throughout the state, providing license renewal credit to over 2,500 chiropractors, certification to over 300 Industrial Injury Evaluators and continuing education to over 2500 QMEs.  He has created and published over 200 electronic forms on CD/USB drive for the ICAC in workers’ compensation, personal injury and clinical practice.  He has worked with and received volunteer recognition acknowledgment from the Industrial Medical Council, State of California.  He has attended and received over 25 annual certificates from the Division of Workers’ Compensation and received certificates of attendance from the California Workers’ Compensation Institute (CWCI), California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery (CSIMS) and American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians (AADEP), American Medical Association (AMA) and Commission on Health and Safety in Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) for Attendance in seminar work on SB-228, SB-899 and for work comp case law updates.  He has been an associate member of American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and has attended seminar presentations by the college.


Awards - Campaigns

Professionally, Dr. Musick is a past president and currently serves as the Executive Director of the ICA of California (ICAC) and recipient of the Chiropractor of the Year Award, D.D. Palmer’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the William S. Day’s Legislative Achievement Award among others. In the past he has served as Chairman of the Legislative District Directors (LDD) with over 1,200 members and Patients for Chiropractic Political Awareness (PCPA) with 13,237 members, both grass roots political networks.  In the past Dr. Musick was the Chairman of Chiropractors to Elect Pete Wilson Governor with 141 members and served as Chairman of the Committees to Elect Arnold Schwarzenegger Governor with 1,032 Chiropractors and Chiropractic Patients as members.

 

Mission Statement

To advance chiropractic throughout the State of California as a distinct health care profession predicated upon its unique philosophy, science, and art. This will be done with education, legal representation, and any other method required.
